Hello IGA and DCS Family!
I am ecstatic for the 2023-2024 school year to begin! High expectations, which have been established by our qualified and dedicated staff, will be maintained while also providing a safe and nurturing student-centered community that fosters respect for each other and our individual differences unified among a common purpose and mission. At IGA, we strive to make the learning process a positive and rewarding experience while maintaining a desire to develop a generation of inquisitive young people who will become lifelong learners in their various pursuits of excellence directing them toward high achievement and success.
I am humbled, honored and ecstatic to be a member of the Irish Gifted Academy and Dublin City Schools Family. As the Irish Gifted Academy’s lead learner and principal, I look forward to the relationships, connections, and memories made among our students, families, and innovative staff this year. This will begin my 12th year in education. It is both a privilege and honor to have the opportunity to serve the children and families of Dublin City Schools.
I am filled with excitement and joy as I think about the 2023-2024 school year where once again our classrooms will be filled with collaboration, innovation, and determination of our students as they take on new challenges. The staff of the IGA does a phenomenal job ensuring a challenging, yet effective learning environment is put in place for all students. In this learning environment, high expectations are maintained while also providing a safe and nurturing student-centered community that fosters respect for each other and our individual differences. At the IGA, you see and hear, “Education Reimagined” and “The Future Starts Here”. This perfectly describes the vision we have for our students, parents, stakeholders, and community. Our future starts here. A future of community partnerships, collaboration, innovation, taking risks, adapting to change, forming lasting relationships with families, and doing it all for our children to ensure their overall high achievement and success. We are grateful that you have entrusted us with what are most likely the most important things in your life- your children. We will strive daily to treat and protect them as if they are our own.
