Dress Code

•  Solid Color “Polo-style”, t-shirt, or button down oxford long or short sleeve shirt --> Any solid color shirt is permitted 
•  Can be short or long-sleeved
• Emblems can be no larger than an inch (ie. any symbol bigger than a “quarter” is too big) 
• Any shirt with Dublin City Schools/IGA logos, insignias, sports team, or club can be worn any time a
• Absolutely NO:
  • Tank tops
  • Sheer
  • Lace
  •  See-thru
  • Or crop tops that show a student's mid-section/stomach 

•  Uniform-Style
  • Colors are khaki, brown, black, blue or grey.
  • Cargos are allowed but they must be the same as the colors above.
• Form fitting yoga pants, sweatpants, or joggers are NOT allowed.
• Pants, shorts and jeans must not have any rips, holes, tears, or frays. NO SAGGING!
• Skirts/shorts must be no shorter than the fingertips when arms are extended and/or two inches above the knee.
• Leggings CANNOT be worn as “stand alone” attire. They can be worn under skirts/shorts and must be a solid color.

• Students must wear safe and appropriate shoes at all times.
• Shoes may be any color.
• All shoes must have an enclosed toe. 
• Students CANNOT wear:
  • Slides
  • Crocs
  • Shower Shoes
  • Flip Flops
  • Cleats
  • Heels
  • Spiked High Heels

• Students will be allowed to wear sweatshirts or jackets with hoods attached while on campus. However, hoods CANNOT be worn on or over the head while on campus.
• Sweater vests and cardigan sweaters may be worn over the standard uniform shirt and may be of any solid color. 
• Solid color turtlenecks can be worn.
• No restrictions on jacket colors, but outerwear cannot bear inappropriate messages or images.

• Belts must be leather or cloth and worn in the belt loops. Buckles must be plain and not oversized, ornate, or offensive in design or message.
• Accessories (earrings, bracelets, rings, etc.) cannot be oversized or in excessive amounts.
• No jewelry is allowed that will distract in noise or in appearance in the school or classroom.

Absolutely NO hats, hoods, baseball caps, bandanas, or sunglasses may be worn on campus unless the administration authorizes it for a special occasion.

Dublin City Schools team attire may be allowed on specified days and at the approval of the building principal.
